Join us on Nov. 3rd at Hogwash Whiskey Den as we take a biographical look at the cocktail. \nThe cocktail is more than dates and names or a simple list of ingredients. Instead\, the cocktail is layered with stories. The class will be divided into segments\, each focusing on a different aspect of this iconic drink. We’ll start with the origins and its rise to prominence. We’ll delve into the key events and influences in the life of the cocktail\, including its successes and failures. Finally\, we’ll look at its influences here in the Pacific NW\, where statehood came during the cocktail’s Golden Age. \nOur classes are more than just informative; they’re hands-on. With a fully equipped bartending station\, you’ll mix the featured cocktails. We’ve done all the work of preparing fresh-made syrups\, fresh-squeezed juices\, and garnishes. Enjoy your crafted cocktails in vintage glassware as you deepen your knowledge of cocktails and develop your palate. \nAt Hogwash Whiskey Den\, you’ll be guided by the best in the business. Our master mixologist\, Simon\, will teach you the use of tools and techniques while Raising the Bar’s historian\, Renée\, will engage you with the fascinating stories behind this mainstay of American drinking traditions. \nTickets are $75 per person. Learn mixology techniques and enjoy three cocktails while discovering the origins of the ingredients. These quintessential fall flavors combine in the cocktail glass for the perfect seasonal experience. \nClass set-up includes bartending stations with all the necessary tools\, fresh-made syrups and juices\, prepped and ready ingredients\, and vintage glassware.
