In an arc of drinking traditions lasting over 300 years\, rum has gone in and out of favor — loved and loathed. Learn why rum has been called “the history of America in a glass” while making and sipping 3 historic rum drinks. Enjoy a taste of the tropics on a wintery Sunday afternoon.\nHogwash Whiskey Den’s master mixologist\, Simon\, will guide you through the ingredients with mixology lessons on using the barkeep’s tools and techniques. Raising the Bar’s resident historian\, Renée will illuminate the stories and history behind the rum’s rollercoaster ride through America’s drinking traditions.\nTickets are $75 per person. Your ticket includes:\n\nThree crafted drinks\nMixology and history lessons\nAppetizers\nA cocktail recipe booklet\n\nClass includes a bartending station for each pair of guests\, fresh-made and prepped ingredients\, and vintage glassware.
